A Letter from the Co-Presidents of the Black Business Students Association
As co-presidents of the Black Business Students Association (BBSA), we celebrate Black History Month as an opportunity to honor the achievements made by pioneers and visionaries alike in the Black community. We also use this time to reflect on those in our community whose potential achievements have been hampered by the inequitable systems we strive to reform.
At MIT Sloan, BBSA officers, members, and allies collaborate to center equity and inclusion in the student experience. Even more, we challenge ourselves to create an environment where principled and innovative students can advance ideas, initiatives, and aspirations that benefit the Black community at MIT Sloan and the greater student body.
In recognition of Black History Month, the BBSA will host events ranging from an Ask Me Anything Q&A with our members to a speaker series highlighting young Black alumni. To learn more about the BBSA, our mission, our members, and our upcoming events, visit our website and follow us at @BlackatSloan on Instagram.

MIT Sloan AdmissionsA Letter from the Hispanic Business Club Presidents
At MIT Sloan, we are thrilled to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month! HHM is a powerful time for reflecting and getting involved in the community. As presidents of the Hispanic Business Club (HBC), we deeply value and prioritize celebrating the rich contributions that the Hispanic/Latinx community has made to U.S. culture, society, economy, and more.
As we continue our personal and professional development at MIT Sloan, we are keeping top of mind the sacrifices our families and ancestors made to enable our journey here. We honor them, their spirit of resilience, and the beauty of our culture. We proudly recognize that our multiculturalism and diversity are strengths, and we take immense pride in serving our close-knit community here at MIT Sloan and beyond.
This year, we took a step back to host thoughtful events, including an HHM celebration event that united over 350 Sloanies and a panel discussion about Latinidad in the U.S. and at MIT Sloan. We are proud to come together as a greater Sloan community to foster allyship, dialogue, and momentum—and to continue paving the way for Hispanic/Latinx success in business for generations to come.
We invite you to join us in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month 2023!
